hi i jus got the sk3 from a friend and it has a lock on it how do i unlock it??

I had the same thing. Call customer care and they'll talk ya through it.

is it locked with the 3 digit keyguard lock?

Sorry. Mine was coming up as being already registered,and would not let me register/get into the main screen with my sim card. So a call to customer care,and some time and I was able to reset,and register my sidekick. If ya got the phone from a "friend" couldn't ya just ask him the lock code?
