Missing info on the side of the box?

Hello sidekick owners, I need a bit of help here. I purchased the sidekick 3 yesterday—love the phone, its simplicity, IMing, etc; all in all it’s a great phone. My sister who had purchased the sidekick more than a week before me notice how my box was missing something on the right side of it, and told me how this has the battery stuff, etc and she said that this might be a stolen sidekick due to that missing.

Now my question to you wonderful people is what should I do? I did in-fact by this from a t-mobile store so I don’t see why this would be missing on the box, and also if my sidekick messes up or anything will I not be liable for a refurbished or new sidekick(I did get the insurance plan.)? I have no idea whether to go back to the store and show them this or not.

I originally posted this in the T-Mobile Sidekick forum, but to no avail.

I dont know how it is in the States, but in Canada, the side of the box sometimes has a sticker that peels off with the IMEI & SIM numbers and the necessary bar codes remain on the side of the box. This is more so for third party retailers who dont have computerized receipts, they can just peel off the sticker and affix it to your receipt/invoice, cus I noticed a lot of the hand written receipts have hard to understand imeis.

yes you can but if you have a mail in rebate, you will need that missing piece as the rebate center will not process your rebate unless you have that "proof of purchase."
