Hi, i recently changed my 4 digit lock password while i was at the beach.. and i set it to lock on start up.. well its been like 2 months and i forgot the password and i dropped the phone and the battery came out. Now im completely locked out of my phone. I called verizon and LG and they said they couldnt help me.. Does anyone know a way around the lock? Or some kind of software to flash my phone back to default?

*228 Option 1 This will reset your password to your last four digits of your phone number.

Are you sure you chose option 1? I just tried it on my phone and it reset my password to my phone number.

yeah...did it once while i was talking to a verizon tech and again after you just said that..but i downloaded BitPim and there was a feature to reboot my phone and it worked! thanks for trying to help though

I am a Cellular Repair Technician for C-Works Solutions, Inc. (the 2nd largest repair facility) and all you gotta do i download a program from LG called LGDownload. Goto Radioshack or eBay and get a $10-30 USB Data cable and plug in the phone and fire up LGDownload. When it loads up click on NVEdit to find out all the codes (lock & spc) and read. (Or you can just click "LOCK CODE* button and a window will popup with the 4-digit code
