V325 Outside LCD

I am sure this topic has been covered multiple times here but I have been searching and cannot find a way to do this. Currently i have my outside banner displaying the motorola.gif while open and i would like to get it to display the time like it does when closed. If i could get this and the annoying red bars on the phone screen to disappear the phone would be 1000 times better in my opinion. Thanks for any help that i may recieve. I will keep trying to figure these edits out like i have been.
