with v.5 are you still limited to 1gig? i've heard conflicting things.
also can you rub .mp3 native in the vcast player if you use bitpim or still only .wma?

Hey tarantulon;
I just got a vx9800, and doing things with it sure ain't as easy as with the Vx6000 I had.
One of my first concerns with this phone was memory space, and my 2nd was what it could do with audio.
I had read in a review somewhere that the latest V5 firmware supported 2gb memory cards so I took a chance, and bought one, and indeed I stuck it in, and it formatted it, and put the default folders on there, and when I checked how much space was there, it showed it as 1999998kb, or something like that so I was definitely pleased with that.
As far as the audio thing; I've got a card reader so it was a piece of cake to load WMAs on there, and they all play fine, but for some reason, I couldn't bring the EQ up so I figure it doesn't support WMA. Also, for some reason, the MP3 playback is turned off by default so I had to enable that first. I put some MP3s in the "my mp3" folder on the card, and the EQ popped right up.
I haven't tried using Bitpim for anything but ringtones so far, but it seems to just mainly show a tree view of the file system, and I haven't dug deep enough to know where everything is yet, nor have I tried to xfer regular songs through it yet.
