I upgraded to froma v3c to a v3m but am haing trouble accessing the phoen via p2kseem or phone tools. It keeps kicking me out of p2kseem & it can't read the phone using the phone tools. Need help!

Go to Marks site and get the latest Drivertools, run that then plug the phone in, it may prompt you for the driver so let it find them, then run MPT and pick the V3mm.

If you have not upgraded MPT then do so.

dont you have to seem edit the v3m to have the media transfer in mpt work with a v3m???

Yes (seem 2742;record 0001;6A;0) but everything else works.
