samsung p207 picture messaging installation

hello all
i am hoping that someone out there will be able to help me, and not think im completely technically challenged! alright so my problem is that my phone the samsung p207 didnt come with the right package of info for the picture messaging to work. so i called into rogers and they gave me some direction. they told me to go into connection settings and make a profile for picture messaging. they also gave me some info, like the APN, username, password, server, and IP. and well ive filled in all but the IP, because i dont know where to fill it in, as well i dont know what the proxy setting is and the 4 digit password is for that, as well as the proxy status. the person i spoke with also told me to come onto this forum and ask someone to help me with this. so i hope someone can understand this question and help me out!!
