E61 Bluetooth Issues

I have a Bluespoon AX2 bluetooth headset and I am having some major issues with compatibility on the E61.

First, every single call the E61 turns down the volume for the call to minium, this happens every time and it takes no less than 8 button presses to get to a hearable level, I have to do this everytime I answer the phone, what a pain in the ***. I have to answer the call "hold on, I cant hear you" press, press, press, press, press ,press, press, ok now I can hear you.

Also, the range on the E61 seems to suck bad, I have used the AX2 headset with 3 other phones and it was totally clear and crisp sounding, with the E61 its crackly and static all the time unless I hold the E61 next to my head at about 6-12 inches.

anyone else notice these problems? Is this Nokia's way of telling me to go get a Nokia Branded headset?

Thanks
G

Hmm... you say it takes eight button presses to get it to a tolerable level, yet in your example, you only pushed the button seven times. Could this be the problem?

I would try a friend's BT headset or something to make sure it is the phone, not the headset.

Yea, tried a different headset, same issue, and I cant even get the audio to transfer on a Jabra 250. The E61 seems to be pretty finicky about what headsets it likes.

maybe its a fw thing as well...else its going to be the bt chip's fault~

try to do a reset, if that doesnt help have it flashed or have it returned, my main phone now is e61 and i never had any problem with my BT...

i really hope that the fw update helps with this rare BT problem. I swear i have bought and returned 4 headsets(ax2,h700,discovery640,bh-900) over the last week because each one gave me nasty static like 6-12 inches away from the phone...even if its in my pocket too.
Currently using the hbh-gv435...its ok but i still get some static from the pocket and if i turn my head away from the phone...
Does the reset really help? Any other suggestions for help?

Thanks.

^ it's bad?

it has its good points but i think the bad (low volume and the need to push the blue key for some shortcuts) outweigh the good.

guess we sho8uld just wait for the next one then...
