How do you move programs from the Phone to the SD card? I downloaded earthcomber and I installed it but I dont know how to put it on the SD card instead of eatting up my memory.

any ideas?

Goto home, push menu. goto copy. then goto copy from phone to card, then copy them

Is it better to store programs, pictures and music on a card or on the phone? I plan to take pictures for caller id, should i store all of those on the card?

The "copy to card" function will do exactly that--copy the file. You would then have to delete it from the phone. There are several freeware file managers that will make the move simpler--FileZ, FileProg, UniCMD, and others.

Pictures for Caller ID might have to be in the phone memory; music files will have to be on the card. Programs that don't have to be written to after a run can go on the card with no problem, and many will let you put their data file(s) on the card too, either in /Palm/Launcher or /Palm/Programs/(program name). That information would likely be in a Readme file in the original download, or at the download site.

um, its not always as simple as "copy to card." and if i am not mistaken doing it via FileZ is still a manual process. just use PowerRUN. its been the single most popular "move app to SD" app available for years (been available since '01)..... and just $15 to boot!

For earthcomber u can always have the 100k app on your device but the maps and the rest of the data on your SD card.

linkstart, same thing as powerrun only free

When using a program like Linkstart or PowerRun do you need to delete the program from your device and you move it to the SD Card? Or when you select move on one of the programs does it do that already?

When you select "Move," it will be copied to the card and then deleted from RAM.
