8125 and Gmail

Hello everyone.

In a day or two I will be receiving my 8125.
Plan not to use any data plan with it, and connect to the internet only through WIFI.
My question would be:
Can I access Gmail flawlessly with it?
Since this is completely webbased mail, I do not foresee a problem. Or will be there a problem?

At the bottem of the screen when you pull it up with mobile IE thier is a basic html link you gotta hit that if you want any links or pictures

Gmail works wonderfully through mobile IE and even the built in mail client on the 8125. The web interface is designed specifically for mobile devices. You can also access it through POP. Although I do have some issues with my device removing read/unread emails and I can't quite figure out why. Anybody have any ideas?

How do you use it via the built in mail client? I have a 2125 - can access via a built in mail client? Currently I'm using an exchange server, having gmail forwarded there so I have PUSH gmail.......

I have my gmail set up through outlook on my 8125 and it works perfectly, as well does my hotmail and my personal account.

I'm having problems with my gmail. I get it via pop on 2 computers (my desktop and my laptop) at home, but i don't seem to get it on my 8125. I set it up as i did on my other 2 machines, and it connects, logis in, and says successful but no mail shows up. I even tried sending a new message to make sure it's not just looking for "new" email.

My GF has a BB and she set it up though the cingular BB service, anything similar for us 8125 guys? her's works great! -which makes me somewhat consider switching to a BB but since I have excahnge at work that makes it more complicated...

I do not know why you have any problems with the 8125 & Gmail. I have been using them together since April with not one problem.

Make sure the incoming mail is pop.gmail.com:995 & the outgoing is smtp.gmail.com:465

I have the connection as the internet. Also, you need to have the SSL connection box checked off & the outgoing mail requires authentication.

I love the 8125 because there are so many aftermarket tools for windows like IE tools and the google helper. I also use Microsoft word a lot.

When setting up my gmail on the phone I did not have the enter in any going/incoming server information. I picked it all up on its own when I entered in the gmail.com. I would still check maybe it did not make the correct servers entered.

Do you have your account set to keep a copy in gmail still? Could be that the other two computers are picking the email up first.
