Issues with BitPim speeding up ringtones...

Most of the tones I've sent to my phone have been fine, but some speed up and sound like chipmunks when I re-incode them with bitpim's processor. Anyone else know why only certain songs do this?

I'm having the same issue. Not sure what's causing it though.

Do you mean you're using BitPim to encode files to MP3? If so, try WinLAME. It's a great program and really easy to use.

my best guess is your tones are NOT CBR but are VBR ( variable bit rate )

use audacity or SUPER and covert your tones to Constant Bit Rate before putting them on the phone with biptim,

your letting biptim convert them, and it is setting them at too high a bit rate.
