Wirelessly posted (Cingular 8125 (2.25 Rom): Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows CE; PPC; 240x320))

Lol, why would you want someone else's wifi settings? That wouldn't do you ny good as your wifi network is probably set up differently then another's, and hopefully secured, so you'll need the key for your network.

is your router g if so you have to reg edit the 8125 to pick up the g, its currently set to b only
Enable 802.11g

The HTC Wizard has WIFI built-in, which in itself is wonderful. However, some manufacturers have decided not to enable 802.11g connectivity by default. More and more people own wireless network equipment based on the 802.11g standard and want to connect with their HTC Wizard.

A registry tweak that allows connecting to a 802.11g network has been found. Be aware that using this tweak will not give you a much faster wireless connection on your HTC Wizard, the hardware is simply not fast enough to cope with the theoretical speed of 54 Mb/s. However, the tweak will enable you to connect to 802.11g-only networks, which is a big advantage.

Please take a look at this topic on the XDA Developers Forum for more information. In this topic people discuss a .cab file that tweaks some more settings on your HTC Wizard than just the enabling of 802.11g, but I'll discuss those in a future post.

If you feel brave (don't worry), you can simply make the following changes in the registry:

* Use Total Commander to navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\COMM\TNETWLN1\PARMS
* Assign a value of 1 to dot11SupportedRateMask
* Assign a value of 8 to dot11SupportedRateMaskG
* Perform a soft reset

gldrush and you thetruth dont know what you are talking about then!!! what do you want to change in your PPC wifi settings??? You may enable G in it, and once you'll do it ,than it should be ready to go. You may check also WIFIFOFUM, it will let you know all the wifi network around you as well if they are secure or not. Good luck, Marek
