Does anyone know if cingular will have any phones that are qwerty and have a camera? Not a pda or blackberry a qwerty phone!

the Nokia 6820 or the 6822, and you will have to get it off ebay just like me. I LOVE my Nokia 6820 just because of the keyboard it's awesome! I can text really fast! plus it's so small, i don't want to lug around a blackberry or Treo. But then again it's getting old, so ill have to ditch it sometime. Plus the camera's on those phones are crap compared 2 megapixels on most new phones now.

I believe the Nokia E70 is supposed to come in an 850MHz version, but I don't think it has been released yet.

The 2 megapixel camera phones are mostly crap too. It doesn't matter how many megapixels a "camera" has, unless the lens is decent the results will be crap. Even with a decent lens, the tiny CMOS/CCD sensors they put in camera phones require a lot of light to work well.

Im still curious as to why cingular has done nothing to combat against the sidekick and the growing amount of txt users, dont get me wrong i hate that thing but it sells really well! VZW has come out with their 9800 and Alltel has the Kyocera Strobe. Cingular tried to mess with the LG9100/9200 series and it was horrible I though, also the Samsung d307 which I got a headache from looking at the keypad and also the OGO and the unreleased moto a630. Im hoping they have something new comming down the road.

I dont know if anyone saw the Motorola TXTR awhile back that was supposed to have luanched I beleive in Q2, but that was a great idea I thought!

I saw those and they seem really nice but I don't want to buy another phone off of ebay ( I bought the v3i not a good idea) I just want cingular to come out with a sweet qwerty phone.

I just found out that cingular will be getting the nokia E62 it's like the e61 but differant lol Go to mobiledia.com and it tells you.

e62 does not have a camera....and no WiFi, plus I think it can be classified as a "pda" phone

Nokia 6820. I have heard great things about this phone. The motorola a630 is also a great phone. my Cousin has one, he had Cingular program the settings on to it and it works just fine.

Thats nice but I really don't want to buy a phone off of ebay so will there be any new phones with qwerty and camera that will come to cingular?
