ANy word on plans for new flip phones that have integrated Palm OS pda like the kyocera phones of 2002?

Haven't seen anything, no. The PDA phones have gone the way of the candy bar form factor.

I had the Samsung I500 and it was great, and I had heard the rumors of a I550 which was a version with all the bells and whistles. It makes the phone easier to carry, and less chance of damaging the screen when worn in a holster, which I prefer

If I ever get enough free time & the proper resources, I'm going to actually design & build myself a clamshell Treo. It shall be the coolest.

They actually did release it, but only in China, as print wouldn't release it in America, because the had to many of the i 500's left

No, there is the currently available GSPDA model from Group Sense. That one is not as polished as the Treo, but makes for a very good phone that just happens to run the PalmOS. I did a review of it for Brighthand/BargainPDA some time back, and honestly liked it just as much as my (then owned) Treo 600 except for the non-PalmOS standard res, and the amount of space CJKOS took up (a lot of the little space that was there).

No BT though, that was a big miss on my account too. Otherwise, pretty solid and rarely crashed.
