Talk about RETRO! LOL

just insert your sim card and go.

seems fun. i'd totally get another line/prepaid for that!

LOL, it's a little pricey but how funny would that be to walk down the street with that thing?

If it only had the 850 band I'd buy that. I love the bell ringers on those old phones. Rotary to boot! Not to walk down the street but for an add-a-line for the house. Cheaper than local service that way.

i already had that phone ! lol

I'd love to see the case for it! A huge case with some little belt clip would be hilarious!!

OMG! I'm having flashbacks to my rotary speed dialing days, trying to win radio contests.

You youngsters just don't know how tough we used to have it.

my grandpa has one and it takes FOREVER to finish dialing...

i still think it looks cool, however...

I guess the saying, "What's old is new again" applies to this phone. I just can't understand why it is so expensive.

We rented two rotaries (one like that picture in my parents bedroom, another mounted style rotary in the kitchen) from GTE/AT&T in West Covina, SoCal all through the 70's, 80's and right up to 1990, the good ole days! For the youngins, before the breakup of AT&T in 1984, you HAD to rent or purchase your phone through the phone company...Hey wait, I'm only 34, old, yeah right !

What we had in the kitchen on the wall-

My brother had the red rotary in his room when we were growing up. We used to always joke about the "hot line". I would love to get one of these for him now...but not at that hefty price!
I remember when the first "Princess" and the first "Trimline" phones came out, along with the telephone based home intercom. We had moved from a fenced yard in the city, to a non-fenced suburban home. Mom was training the dog to stay in the yard by calling her on the intercom (speaker at the door) every time the dog stepped outside the yard. A delivery lady stopped by the house, and mom told her "just a moment, I have the dog on the phone"...as she called the dog back to the house. We never saw that delivery person again.

Better to have it unbranded. I'm guessing that if Cingular were to carry that phone, theirs would be two-toned orange and blue, and they would replace the bell ringer with the Cingular tune.
