i dont have a data plan cuz i dont use the internet on my treo 650. but today i accidentally clicked on the web icon(not sure what the browser's name is) but it said it was connecting etc..etc..and i clicked cancel.
if you are browsing the web on the treo 650, will the a globe icon appear near the cell reception bars ? i've heard horror stories about web browsers that haven't disconnected and people ending up with hundreds of dollars in data usage.

When you're connected to the data network, there will be two little arrows to the top-right of the cell phone reception icon (the bars). The two arrows will be green if your data connection is active, or grey if it is in standby (and they won't be there if you're disconnected).
