Sorry if this has been discussed and or embedded into the ginormous amounts of threads, but I have been searching with no luck.

I just migrated from att to cingular and received the cu500 as my upgraded phone. Is there anyway to transfer my contacts from my v551 to my new lgcu500?

I have tried copying all of my contacts from the v551 to the sim, then taking the sim and placing that into the cu500, no luck. Tried to sync them via BT but no options for contact transfer that I can see.

I transferred my V3 contacts to sim and then put my old sim into CU500 to transfer them on with no problem.

If the phones are locked you won't be able to move the sims around to do it. Some stores have a CelleBrite machine (or something like it) that pretty much does just that. Stop into a store near you and ask if they know of anyone that has a machine to transfer numbers.

at the cingular store where i got my CU500 they transferered for me my contacts from my V551. Came out almost perfect!

They did it for a friend of mine in the same situation. You may also be able to do it yourself if you have Mobile Phone Tools and whatever sync application LG uses. Sync your contacts to MS Outlook with MPT, then sync them to your new phone with whatever the LG app is. The people at the store can do it for you and make it look EASY!

Thanks for all the input, I'm going to head over to the cingular store when I get off work today. I would use mobil phone tools if it was free, but the store is just down the street from me. thx again, ciao
