I will be leaving London in about a month, but my contract term is not over. Can I cancel w/o getting charged penalties, etc? I have been looking at the Tmo UK website but cannot find anything about this. I appreciate any help.

You could try your luck by stating that you're returning to the US. Most of the time, a US provider will let you cancel a contract early if you move to an area where they don't have coverage.
Secondly, you might be able to get out of the contract if you find someone who will take over the contract for you. These are questions you'll need to direct at a T-Mobile UK shop.

Thanks for the advise. That's pretty much as I was planning on doing it as that's how it's done stateside. In reading the Terms & Conditions again I was reminded as to how we consumers have it in the US. In the UK the company can do ANYTHING and you, the consumer, have no rights. It's amazing!
Other input is encouraged and appreciated.
Cheers,

I think that it's pretty hard to geta contract cancelled in the UK.... I know that my old contract, they said that they could do it i think anyway but yuou would have to pay off the remaining months in advance.
if you DO plan to do this, or plan to ask someone to take over, make sure you drop it to the cheapest price plan if possible - i know on some providers, after 6 months of a contract you can change price plan.
