I just got a qtek 9100 and I love it... but I seem to have an interesting issue.. my phone setup...I have the 2.17.7.2 WWE ROm and the 02.07.10 Radio version. i have my gprs settup like this.. APN wap.cingular User name WAP.CINGULAR.COM Password CINGULAR1 .....(the cingular proxy is NOT set up) everything works well and i get decent speeds but it shows a "G" and not "E" am I getting an Edge connection without the E? Should I have an E... I have a 64k sim but my previous phone was a smt 5600 without edge.. But as i understand it my account shouldnt have anything to do with my data speeds... Did I miss something.. Thanks for any help.

There is a registry entry to enable this "E" indicator when on an EDGE Network. Check HTC-Developers wiki.

i have the same phone but i changed the rom and use cingular proxy unless im streaming. here is the settingShow Edge network indicator instead of GPRS

If your network provider supports the Edge network (and your device does as well), you can use the following to show a little 'E' icon instead of 'G' icon when connected to an Edge network:

HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL\EnableDifferGprsEdgeIcon = 1 (DWORD decimal)

To disable again:

HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL\EnableDifferGprsEdgeIcon = 0 (DWORD decimal) to enable the e. i use phm editor (FREEWARE)

what rom ru using?
and is there any advantage/disadvange to using the cingular proxy?... I love the phone so far minus the fact i cant get the stylus to stay locked at all..... grr

im using a custom rom half cingular half qtek. it has a bunch of built in stuff. the proxy compress the data so it downloads faster. as a example i did a speed test with proxy and got 185-200 with out the proxy 100-120
some people use clear tape on the stylus to hold it into place. i have that on one of my stylus.
