Question - it's a 6DR .shx file - if I have 93R, will it still work? or will it mess up my phone? (I'm new to changing the font on my phone, but not new to flashing and flexing)

The picture is of my phone with 93R. Fonts are in the language pack, so flashing a new font flashes the language pack. You'll get the Queen's English with this font, which you should be used to

PS - what version of 93r do you have? Is it just a stock reflash? Or was it a monsterpack? I recently flashed my phone with leukoplast's 90r monsterpack and used just a 93r reflash but I'm having a few problems - p2ktools doesn't read my audio folder and i think it's because of leukoplast's flex in his monsterpack.

Basically what I'm getting at is, did you use a stock 93r monsterpack or just a reflash?

I used the stock reflash that djnick (I think?) posted first.

I bought my V635 from a member here that was to be local to me. He has a friend at Motorola (Moto is HQ'd in our area as well) that flashed it with 88R and a Cingular flex that was apparently created for Cingular to test the phone with.

So since I already had the Cingular flex, I didn't need to apply the original 93R/Cingular MP. Not only that, but its highly tweaked and didn't want to go thru that again.

Just ask around - I have no love for user created MPs - bloated with too many ringtones that aren't my style, useless games, tweaks that I don't need, fugly skins...

I'd rather tweak a phone myself and delete/add exactly what I want.

Besides, I hate to see the poor authors having to deal with "I want this, I want that, gimme gimme gimme" from a pushy peanut gallery

And before you ask, my DRM is the final version by _LawmaN_

I couldn't agree with you more. I was basically bored one day and collected some firmware to test out on my phone (after BACKING IT UP of course!). I was thinking about creating my own monsterpack, but yeah, I don't know how well I'd be able to please the masses. Besides that, I've never made one before!

I ended up flashing with the Cingular monsterpack and just unbranding it and doing a lot of seem edits anyway to get exactly what I want. At least I've got the 93r on my phone now with super fast menu response times and everything.

PS - I'm also using lawman's DRM pack - it's pretty awesome. One day when I'm bored again I may try to create my own!

It's too bad _LawmaN_ got rid of his V635 - his DRM was based on an old flash that didn't have the external EDGE and IM icons. Oh well, I figure if I have a signal around here I probably have EDGE
