Well,

After I read about this Garmin product, I have decided, that this will be my 3 items that I will be carrying with me most of the time.

I already have the P800. But, it IS missing a multi-megapixel camera, and card space for an MP3 player, as well as video capture.

That is why, I recommend the Casio Exilim EX-M2.

It is a very slim 2 megapixel camera and video recorder. It has a very nice MP3 player (takes SD cards), with corded headset with remote control. And at 1/2" wide, it is VERY slim. Casio is coming out with a 3 megapixel version, but it will be twice the depth, and no MP3 player.

And the last, since the P800 won't have GPS anytime soon, I find this new product to be the finishing touch, the Garmin iQue 3600

It, in all honesty, does complete the needs for any road warrior. It's a Palm unit, with completely built in GPS. I also think that maybe the Palm bluetooth card would work in this. It can get full street maps of USA and Europe. Plus, it IS a Palm 5 unit, so there are lots of applications you can enhance your life with, that may be a long wait for the P800 to have.

Look, I know like all of you, we couldn't hope more that the P800 would be the all-in-one, do all, end all of mobile accompaniment, but many of us can use other technologies with us to make our mobile lives easier, more fun, and/or productive.

This group of 3 items, I feel are definitely small enough for portability, the latest of all technologies, and should set you back about $1,500 for all 3.

Great stuff but, my dream list is:

P800 - nothing better as PDA/Phone as far as I am concerned, and it is just being announced. I hope SonyEricsson sells millions of them and makes many new models.

EMTAC Bluetooth GPS - this is a great, small unit. We just need someone to make GPS enabled maps for the P800. On my old IPAQ this device was incredible. I hope DeLorme builds a map - they are great.

Sony DCR-IP55 - a great little video camera. Haven't figured out how to connect it to my notebook PC via Bluetooth but I love the size and features.

IBM T30 Notebook - an awesome Notebook computer with 2ghz processor, 60gb hard drive, CD R/W + DVD Read, bluetooth and 802.11b built in, great screen and reliable.

Pentax PojectJet II - great little printer. I hear a bluetooth version is coming soon and it will also be awesome.

Magicolor DeskLaser 2200 - OK, this is for the home office. A nivce, nearly affordable Color Laser Printer.

Except for the Color Laser, I travel with all the other stuff all the time and have all the gadgets that I need for work and play..well, nearly everything.

Until new models come out, this is some hot stuff. What a great time to be alive!!!

Oh yeah, I forgot my one of my other great gadgets - the 80 hour TIVO and DirecTV. Use it to keep up with the few programs I like since I am on the road a lot. Especially 24 - the best show on TV in my opinion!

Anybody have any other neat gadgets out there - small, high tech stuff is great - let me know.

That is great stuff, Randy, but all a little too big to fit in my "manbag"

By the way, had the Sony Bluetooth Video, but got rid of it -- was better in theory than usage.

I have not the T30, but the IBM X30 w/ WiFi, and bluetooth --- love it -- it a solid, solid PC, and great portability.

And just got 2 units of Tivo Series 2 60 hour (to compliment my new Plasma TV ) , which will have the over the internet programming. Quicker than the series 1

Yeah, I haven't found much use for the bluetooth on the Sony camera - but it is small and easy to carry on trips.

Is the X series of IBM Notebooks smaller than the T series? If so, I'll have to go have a look at them. A few years ago I would not have considered an IBM - now they are hot! One of the very best I think.

Oh yeah, since thi s s a fun thread, I also forgot to mention my Bluespoon earbud for the P800. I guess it is so small that I forgot it in the list - which is also true in person, i have lost two of them while traveling - left one on a delta flight. I bet someone found it, couldn't figure it out and trashed it. Anyway, one of my favorite and most used gadgets.

Yeah, the X series is much smaller. 3.7 pounds, 12" screen. Plus I have the docking station, too with DVD. I had been using the Sonys for a few years, the latest, the SRX sub-note series, and getting the IBM was like a whole new laptop experience. I am VERY pleased. The included IBM apps aren't as flashy as the Sony's, but very, very solid.
