This is the main support page for that device:
https://onlinecare.cingular.com/sup...lar&model=8125&
The specific link for setting up Media Net Internet is the first link under "Device setup" called "Access/configure browser/internet settings"
On that link step 15 is the settings for getting the Media Net internet settings. Note, you do not have to set the poxy (as show in steps 8 and 9) unless you want to access the cinguler media net home page.
These instructions assume Media net was already set up on the device, but since you are adding it, you'll need to create a new network profile in step 5.

You'll also want to follow the "configure MMS" settings.

Here is a summary of the settings:
Internet connection profile:
Access point name: wap.cingular
Username: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
Password: CINGULAR1

For accessing the Media net home page:
Set the HTTP proxy to: wireless.cingular.com:80 (only needed for Media site net, otherwise you don't need the proxy.)
Set the home page to: http://home (or http://device.home )

MMS settings:
Server Name: Cingular MMS
Gateway: wireless.cingular.com
Port number: 80
Server address: http://mmsc.cingular.com
Connect via: MEdia Net (set up above)
Sending size limitation: 300k
WAP Version: WAP 2.0

I hope this helps

It should come already set up. It configurers everything when you first start it.

Well he said it was a T-Mobile phone.. so its probably setup to send MMS on T-Mobiles network. Or if he flashed to a new ROM and did not install "carrier customizations" then he has nothing setup.

The OP says it's an 8125. I assume he meant it was an MDA (T-Mobile) as 8125 is a Cingular specific model name. Are the MDA and 8125 the same device (rom compatible?)

I assumed the same as taylorh that it was for cingular since I thought the 8125 was just cingular branded for the same moble that the MDA is to T-mobile.

In that case since it is orginally a T-mobile phone then I am incorrect. It would not come set up you would need to enter in all the information to direct it to whats servers it will use for all the featurers. Taylorh found all the same ones I had on my phone.

The MDA and Cingular 8125 to my knowledge are the same device just styled different. They are both made by the same compnay and under the same categorey as on the manufactors site. I dont know if their Roms are captable thou because they are for two different providers.

This forum might help explain about changing the device over from t-mobile to cingular:

Yes the MDA and 8125 are the same phone. They are both HTC Wizards. HTC is the company that manufactures them and Wizard is the model name. They are sold rebranded as the following:

Qtek 9100
Cingular 8100 / 8125
T-Mobile MDA (U.S.) or MDA Vario (International)
Dopod 838
i-mate K-Jam
O2 XDA mini Pro and XDA mini S
Orange SPV M3000
Vodafone VPA II compact

So discussions on ANY of these phones will apply to the 8125 or MDA. The only difference in them is the *stock* rom included from the individual carriers. I say *stock* since these phones can be reflashed and unlocked to be like anyother carriers phone.
