Razr V3i Hinge problems

Hi, i was wondering if any of you had any problems with the hinge. Is it a good quality hinge or one that will loosen in a years time. Is there any way to fix it on your own if it breakes or loosens?

I dropped my First V3i so many times that HINGE was just SCRAPED from every side and even CHiPPED on one side ... and never had PROBLEM with being loose or not working.
