Need help with Repair- I'm stuck!

Gentlemen,

I've sucessfully read and studied the available V3 disassembly/service manuals.

I need to replace my inner/outer screen/displays.

I've gotten the cover off, removed the camera, successfully disconnected the flex connections.

I'm at the point where I need to remove the display.

HERE'S THE PROBLEM:

I've tried to get the display off (I've carefully pryed the corner) but the "yellow flex ribbon" that connects to the earpiece and side smart buttons is causing a problem. From what I understand I remove that WITH the display. --->CORRECT<---? They are connected??

If yes, then how do I get the flex ribbon off the actual housing? it appears to be glued in place!!

Am I missing something? I don't want to simply pull it off as I feel as though it's glued on "tight" enough that it would damage if I tugged on it.

If anyone with experience could help me out here, that would be great!
