Cingular 8125, need help with pairing bluetooth

Someone please help. I recently bought a Motorola HS-850 and tried pairing it with the 8125. I followed the directions for the Motorola, however when I search for devices, my 8125 is not picking it up. I had the two devices right next to each other when I was trying it.
Could I be missing something? Can someone please help me??

when you start to pair it up ..the boom is folded underneath and you hold the answer button down until the light stays solid blue..then open up the boom and the light should stay solid..if it flashes it is not in pairing mode. at this point search for device. it can also be possible that the headset is defective. refer to where you bought it for return or warranty info. hopes this helps.
