After two bad 2125 refurbs I was sent a brand new 8125 to replace it. I was told there are no 8125 refurbs available right now. I set up the phone last night and I love it, but today the touch screen kept unaligning and I had to realign it all the time. On my way home from work it stopped responding all together. Have to wait now till Wednesday for another replacement, without a useable phone. My patience has run out, I am starting to get angry. I don't get it why me. All I get from cingular is sorry and we will send a new phone, nothing for my lost usage, my time, or inconvienience. I need my phone as there is family that needs to be able to get a hold of me at all times and Cingular doesn't care. Why not have a store replace the phone for me?

I had that same qestion before. Why dont storers replace phones. I think the problem might be is that their are alot more private storers that just sell cingular phones and contracts. Only Coperate storers are able to handle real issues I have found like authorizing discounts. I would say try posting your qestions about Why Dont storers replace phones? in the Cingular employee section. They will probally give you a better anwser. My awnser would be their do it for quality control purposes. To make sure that the phone indeed has a problem and they need to test it.

For the phones I am sorry to hear you are having all the bad luck. I have notice a simalir problem with my screen but it never stop responding. Also cingular dose have refurb now for the 8125 and they are shown on their site. I have not experance a problem with cingular support but I would say try and talk to someone on the phone and see what they will give you for all your trouble you have had. And it might not be cingulars falt all of it. Maybe the manufactor has a bug in the software.

See I like how he jabbed agents there.

We can't handle real issues?

Yeah well good luck getting anything handled at any COR location in my area unless you're wanting to get a new line of service. Other than that the reps point to either the bill pay station or the customer service phone and says next.

To the OP: You're on your 3rd phone, you should be able to ask the XBM Rep to notate your account so you can pick up at a COR store. Generally they will do that after the second bad phone.

Elushon im sorry I did not want anyone to get the wrong feeling about my option. I should have stated from my own accounts. I was trying to say is I think the op would be better off going to a coperate store.

I did not mean to affend anyone in that comment. I would edit the comment out but I cant do that since it wont allow me.

You can try a master reset, or try a clear storage wich sets everything back to original settings, or u can get new rom and put it in if u dont want to wait,

It's funny, when you do a hard reset and your touchscreen doesn't work, you don't get past the "touch the screen to set up you windows mobile device" screen.

I wish it would work as you suggested, but I went to a COR store and they wouldn't even try to help me, just told me to call warranty and have them deal with it. I called warranty and voiced my displeasure and suggested other solutions including authorizing my account to pick up a phone at a store and all I could get out of them was "Sorry there is nothing else that can be done, you will have your phone next week.".

I asked Cingular for a 8525 to replace the faulty 8125, they haven't responded to my request yet. I also asked for a backup phone for when my "Good" phone isn't working. I figure it doesn't hurt to ask, who knows maybe they'll send them to me.
