I noticed this too... weird

Verizon installs a proprietary software user interface on all their phones. It's slow, hard to navigate and just plane crappy. Switch carriers or learn to deal with it, they show no signs of stopping the practice.

When I first got my V3c with the .03 firmware is was "so slow". Then I flashed to the leaked .04p and it was significantly faster and almost instantaneous. Now I also have a V3m and it seems to be just as fast as the V3c is so I can't really complain.
I have very little extra on it in terms of pictures and sounds and no apps so maybe how much you have loaded on it has some impact on the speed.

I've got a V3m, too, and the slow menus are really starting to get to me. There is a 1.5 - 3 second delay whenever I am switching menus. Once a menu is loaded it goes at normal speed. The only mod I've done is the seem to identify it as a V3MM to enable file transfers. We should experiment a little, maybe erasing our text messages and pictures. Also, I haven't installed a memory card in it yet. I hope we can find a fix for this, it is driving me nuts.

i had about 600+ in and 600+ out txt msgs on my v3m. Erased them all and speed nearly doubled.

My V3m did the samething. I had 1000+ txt msgs and it would literally take 30seconds to switch/load any menus, contact list, txt msgs, any screen.
I deleted all the text messages and it works like it was brand new.
