This is on a Sony w810i |

Shorten the file to about 10-30 seconds (Is us MP3Trim) Run it through the Sony DRM Packager (Just put your email, set the start date to the day before and set to never expire) Drag and drop it into the ringtones folder. |

anyways, i think its too much of a hassle to flash/unbrand my phone, so i just went with the cutting method. At least for my phone I found that any length works...as long as its under 600kb. i had a file at 609kb...didnt work. Cut it till 599 kb and it worked so yea, just my 2 cents |

I figured out that the problem is with the size of the file, you have to reduce the file size on your computer and maybe only use about 30 seconds of the original mp3 then save and send to phone. I have already used 3 different mp3's as ringtones now. And if you are still having trouble you can always download onto your computer one of those mp3 to ringtone converters just to make the process easier. Hope this helps!
