Hey i saw this posting on GSMARENA saying that Taiwan firmware 2.0 does not have shutter sound. is it true? where to flash?

hmmm..? soundz strange buddy!!i got my 903 in Tw but i never heard about this 903ver 2.0 you mention.And how did you know u got a ver 2? As far as i know only FET telecom company in Tw is the sole distributor of this cellphone to their postpaid subscriber.Other than that it's hardly cnt find this to any store here and pretty expensive. If this is true, u can play games to sd card, shut off camera sounds - boy this is great! Id better switch to Tw firmware ver 2.0!

Most likely a load of $&*@. No such thing as a "version 2.0" firmware.

Playing games on SD card is just a code that you need to enter from the service manual or sth (I heard it from my source)..

As for no shutter sound, it can be done in all the fw but its very unstable and it can cause the phone to hang alot. It deals with changing parts of the FS system, which it boost the risk that the FS will die faster...

From what I understand, it's possible, on all phones, I've seen it listed as a service at one of the websites. It's a flash though, apparently.

Hmm interesting... I'd like to get rid of the annoying shutter sound cuz it's so loud. it's not like I'm a perv or anything

NOPE..unless you have the tools to do it..like flash programs and the file that modify the 3rd shutter sound to none...

but like i said...even you know the people who can flash it for u...ur risking ur 903sh to die quicker....i heard that lots of people run into problems because of this...and ended up having a dead 903sh after awhile....

TP flashing already a thing that cause alot of 903sh to die....and with this...it even boost the % up....

I have seen on myself....a girl came up witha 903sh...and the person re-flash the 903sh told her that...it can only flash back to Jap fw...(due to bad FS or some damage in the FS...when i asked after she left)...
