Krussel recently announced the release of a case made specifically for the Star Trek. They also have it labeled for the soon to be released Cingular 3125. I found it at Pride Communications for just under $20., not including shipping. Model K-B87244. I have purchased from Pride in the past and would rate them favorably. I also noticed that they will have Martin Fields screen protectors in stock a/o 09/04.

I just ordered the case and didn't get any indication that it was back-ordered, but I did notice that the case still appears on their pre-order section. Anyway, I'll post some comments once I get it.

I find the regular use of the word 'sexy' to describe a phone downright disturbing and I wish it would stop...it's got to be one of the most awful combinations of an adjective and a noun I've ever heard.

I don't disagree that it detracts from the slick design of the phone, but for some, at least myself, during the week when I'm at work, I need a little more protection for the phone due to the environment in which I work. I find that a case like this can provide some added protection but also lets you answer the phone quckly. It might also provide a small margin of protection should you drop it.

Cases have always been subjective and personal preferences. I was just pointing out that this was another option and hopefully as the Star Trac becomes more avaialble and mainstream, we'll see even more case / carrier choices coming on the market.

Thanks JOhn1027 for posting the links. I got a leather case from Noreve. I had never heard of this company before but was pleasantly surprosed with the quality and craftsmanship of the case. it's litlle bit expensive though. Do a google search and you may find a discount coupon for 20-30% off. I did but can't remember where did I find the discount coupon. Not too crazy about the Krusell case either. The Noreve case looks nice, but a bit too expensive. I couldn't find the discount coupon on google? BTW does anyone know if there is a belt clip for the qtek 8500?

Just an update on the avaialbility of the Krussel case - rec'd email advising Pride Communications will not be shipping now until 09/04/06.

Hmm...not for nothing, but both of the cases discussed here are UGLY...isn't one of the advantages of a sleek clamshell that you don't need a case? You just put it in your pocket and go...

It is for me. I tried the clip (holster) for the SLVR, but found it back in my pocket after a few days.

Based on that availability date and the looks, I'm guessing they're waiting for all the grade school summer camps that stitched them to close up before they deliver their shipments.

I just found the Krusell case over on AbsolutelyU.com & they show the release date being Sept. 4 too! My birthday whoo! I think I may buy it as a present to myself... Although the Krusell cases can be pretty ugly, they have saved my $500+ phone's life many a times in the past.

Dunno if I like the sound of it (the ugly flap, the bars on the photos, or the fact that the thread comes unwound quickly).

Can someone who actually owns the case compare it to the review and determine if the review is 100% accurate or not?

i hate leather cases like this krussel one..I just ordered a silicone cover/case off of ebay. It's coming from somewhere in hong kong and we'll see how that works out. I have had one of these for my ipod and I absolutely love it. It feels soft and good and it also doesnt ruin the look of your phone. If anyone is interested in the link here it is!

I found a very nice case on ebay from seller mokcorp. Just type in 3125 at the guys store. Very quick shipping. I bought the vertical case without the top strap. The sides are elastic and hold the phone well. It slides out very easy. Obviously it adds bulk, but also offers substantial protection. Plus when you take the phone out, everyone see it.

The downside is you can't plug the connector in while in the case.
