My wife and I just upgraded the old Sprint phone and got 2 new ones (Motorola C290).

Other than buying them via the Sprint website, is there an easy way to get ringtones and backgrounds for Sprint phones? I sometimes see sites that say the ringtones are free. How do you get them on your phone? I'm leary of giving out the cell # to most of these sites?

What I would love is a ringtone that sounded like an old mechanical telephone's ring.

First off, you'll need a data cable. Then the software for the computer.

You can check out www.sprintusers.com and use their FREE uploader tool. It sends them to your phone via a text message, and you download it from there. Standard text charges apply.

Or, you can use the data cable/software.

d0eZ any b0dy Kn0 where t0 get thIs s0Ftware fr0m??bKuZ Ive tried uZing the focus upl0ader and i made the ringtones in aac f0rmat n when i get them 0n t0 the f0ne it says i need a handler f0r that type of file..thatz about the only type of audio format thatz all0wed thru the upl0ader..i have the data cable..i just need the usb drivers nd the uploader..
