Wet battery any good?

I had an E815 that took a swim - the phone is dead for sure, but I am wondering, is the battery that also met the water still useable, or just a paperweight now?

Most of time water will not damage a battery. I have had many a phone that went for a swim and the battery was just fine.

Yeah, same here...can't even remember how many phones I've drowned and the batteries were good in every case.

Sometimes even after a few days of drying with the phone off, it can be used.

That is, if you didn't try to use it right after the dunking...
