i'm experiencing a problem sending and receiving pics from my 6700. whenever i attempt to send one, it directs me to outlook. this is quite frustrating, i'm not even sure if this phone has that capability. all help is appreciated. btw, what in the world is smartdial? it seems like one of those things that seems stupid at first, but once i figure it out, i'm addicted, like t9.

The 6700 is not picturemail ready. So you cannot send pictures via mms. The only option is using yahoo pushmail to email phones.

My XV6700 can send picture messages with MMS. But I use the e-mail anyway since I have a data plan and it doesn't cost any extra to send a multimedia e-mail.

Some carriers had an MMS CAB preinstalled. Verizon did but I don't believe Sprint did. There is a CAB file out there somewhere that will let you do it if you can get the settings right.

I would like to know where this CAB is. I dont have a data plan and hate the fact that I cant send pix messages without them costing a pretty penny.

Thanks!

Problem is that sending MMS will use data.

If anyone knows where this cab is and possibly the settings for sprint, it would be greatly appreciated...

Sending pix cost money if you use MMS. You can either transfer to your card or email it from your PPC using an email account but that will use data. Check over at ppc-central.com.

I was told today by a guy at verizon that you can send and recieve pics/video ect. even if you dont have the data package. If you currently have a pics/text package you can use that to send your pics and video. If you email it then you will be charged for teh KB of data sent.
