The phone is almost 5 months old and has met with no accident or damage. I keep it in my pocket and it had been working fine. No drops, no rain or any other moisture other than regular humidity.

Except that all of as sudden the external display shows no information at all. The backlight of the display is still working (as shown by its blank blue glow) but the time, caller info, battery and signal strength are all missing. Similarly, I cannot seem to change the ring/vibrate/silent options with the external keys and non-visible external display info.

It has also been crashing far more frequently than it ever did before, sometimes just shutting down when it is receiving or making a call.

I've done a master clear and a master reset (also removed the battery for 15 minutes before putting it back in), and it hasn't changed the external display problem at all.

Any ideas? Am I stuck sending it back in? Damn phone...
