caved in and bought a p800....

after spending months waiting and waiting (mostly for the price to drop),
and weeks of reading and researching (mostly on howardforums!),
i caved in and finally bought a p800 to call my own
the price is still high here in nyc -- J&R has them for $1100 and various chinatown places have them for between $830 to $980
i was skeptical about buying them in chinatown because a lot of those places sell phones without a warranty,
so i found a cingular store that had the p800 and bought it (unit-only, no activation) because it's an official u.s. release and comes with a warranty!
i've been so busy playing with the phone every night after work and in a constant state of (bliss and) amazement because it's such an incredible piece of technology
i'm not a fan of the blue and i'm waiting for the mineral gray cover to come out (if ever),
but the phone is incredible - everything from the soft, curvy feel to the bright, supersized screen to the ease of use, etc.
i'm a die-hard mac user and unfortunately isync doesn't work with the p800 (yet),
so i manually edited and entered contacts for a couple of hours
which i didn't mind doing because i was able to learn jot by doing so
i transferred mp3s, mp4s, midis, gifs and jpgs to the phone via bluetooth without any problem at all,
and thanks for bengalboy's thorough posting of how to set your p800 up for email/mms/wap/etc., i was able to get online and check email easily -- thanks bengalboy!!!
after two days, i decided to take off the keypad but i admit i'm going to buy a screen protector later on today
i was able to find a case for it too - i bought a swiss army case that fits the phone perfectly for less than $20
i'll post a pic or two later on tonight...how do i post a pic anyway??
i know people who've bought one already have posted similar threads (i've read them!) but i just wanted to let everyone know my experience with it so far and to say thanks for everyone on here for being so friggin' knowledgeable and attitude-free
