Buying 8700g on Amazon w/ T-Mobile contract

I am considering buying the Blackberry 8700g through Amazon.com, which has a deal going for $50 with T-Mobile Activation and a 2 year contract. My work has an Enterprise server, and will reimburse me for up to $35 per month for the data costs. I've never bought a cell phone on-line before, so I have a few questions:

1. Amazon doesn't mention how to select a plan. Do I just get the phone in the mail, and then take it over to my neighborhood T-Mobile store (or go online) and pick out a plan?

2. My wife and I are thinking about the "family" plan - 1000 shared anytime minutes for $69.99 for two lines (unlimited in-network calls + nights/weekends). I assume we don't have to get the same phone to sign up for the family plan. Can I add on the Blackberry unlimited/enterprise server feature to just one of the phones (my phone)?

Any help?

I bought the same phone from Amazon a couple of months ago. When I purchased the phone I was able to select the $59.99 Minutes and Mail plan. There were rebates involved which made the phone Free - probably the same case for you too. You must keep a service plan of $39.99/mnth or more to receive your rebate or your credit card will be charged full retail for the phone.

I have already received a rebate from T-Mobile and the Amazon rebate is processing.

1. Did you add the phone to your shopping cart? You should then have the optioon of selecting the plan then

2. Yes, you can add the bb services the the 8700 seperately. You can add different features to each handset at will.

Any ? about the process through amazon PM me.

Dunno if you're going to be able to get Amazon's discount with a family plan. Read all of the fine print because Amazon probably stipulates that you stick with the plan you sign up with at the time of purchase for at least 6 months.

Just make real sure that you get coverage in the area you plan to use the phone. The coverage map showed EXCELLENT for my area but had to go outside to make calls of get email. I had to return mine. Make sure if you return to do it within the grace period!
