Free mobile IM

Looking through the Mobile IM part of Get It Now I found an option that said "Free - Unlimited". Is this referring to the download being free and the application never expiring, or is it a service that i order from here, or what? Is it like free wap (using mobile IM during peak hours detracts from minutes)? I'm rather confused.

Mobile IM uses text messaging to send and receive IM's in addition to the log on and log off process.
