V3 silver, keypad problems

I have a new problem with my v3. none of the buttons work except for the off/on. All of the other buttons, including 1-9, pound, star, zero, navigation keys, accept call, and all the other keys, when pressed, create the 'pressed key' tone, but it doesn't turn off. Then the screen shows 'recording voice record' and continues to do so until i press the off switch.

I cannot accept calls, i've reflashed my phone (don't question if i screwed up or not, i've flashed dozens of v3's and have been doing it for over a year) with a cingular flash/flex pack, and still it won't go away.

Any ideas anyone? I apologize if this problem has already come up, i couldn't find it.

hey there! i'm having the same problem with my v3c pink razr (with Verizon). Only my on/off works too. i posted my question too, it's about 10 or so threads below yours but noone has posted an answer for me either. i'll let you know if anyone gives me an answer

Please let me know too- I have been in the Vodaphone shop (in Germany) 5 times in the last 2 weeks and they send it for repair and it screws up a minute later.. The phones look nice- but this keypad is seems to be problem. The customer care -platium level said they have never heard of this problem.. Plus the keypad doesnt seem to hold up very well with long nails.. it gets scratched up real quick.

90% problem is small flex cable shifted or damaged (the cable in flip is also named button cable, audio flex cable and so on). It just need to be reassembled or swap.
