Hello I'm a self admitting nokia symbian freak..... But the 8125 after using it acouple of times really caught my eye.... I've read about flashing the phone using different roms and making the phone more stable (everyone hates that stupid cingular firmware) Also the taboo topic of unlocking. Can anyone shed light more on the 8125 and About the ROMS and where to get good stable virus free ROMs and software???? Oh yeah being that its windows a good virus scan program! Thanks

I came over to the 8125 form a nokia N-Gage... and was worried that it wouldn't be as capable of a phone.. internet browsing with Opera, Agile Messenger for IM, etc.... but they're all available ;-) With time, the only thing I'm missing from the N-Gage is the much more capable Bluetooth implementation (though the 8125 has Bluetooth 1.2) and the games.

Anyway, welcome... visit that link... and pay attention to every post made by a guy named Summiter.

I've seen no viruses for Windows Mobile 5... though I use it with My Mac exclusively other that to flash the roms, then I boot into Windows.

try xda devlopers page look under wizard upgrading thats were i got mine. im using a custom one thats real stable.

Hows the bluetooh on the 8125? my 650 treo works with the plantronics 640 at best mediocre..... Whats you're experience with it??

When I had the 8125 the Plantronics 640 worked like a champ.

I have mda
the bt is okay, yes it has some problem with plantronics (skipping under noisy enviornment)
you can do registry hack to enable bt obex
