Hi, could someone please clarify for me the long distance charges for Bell prepaid services. I will be going on vacation shortly and will be visiting Eastern Canada and coming back thru the USA to Cambridge Ontario. I presently use my prepaid phone mostly for emergencies and have the $25 top up to include roaming as advised by Bell CSR. I have talked, emailed and checked out the Bell internet site and have received conflicting answers as to the cost in Canda and in the USA if I were to use my phone. I appreciate any assistance that can be offered.

in Canada the LD is 40c/min, on top of your airtime rate..
in the US, if it works, it'll be a varying rate, it's been discussed, before.. it changes, depending on the area you are in, and whether you made the call, or recieved the call..
but bank on approx $2.00/min for use in the US..
I haven't used my Bell phone in the US for over 2 yrs now, that was back wen it was a post-paid plan.. the Roaming rates are the same for pre or post-paid tho.. now I just get a pre-paid US SIM and put it in my unlocked GSM phone, and pay a he|| of a lot less than $2.00/min..
