So i have been poking around with sony soundforge and audacity to make my mp3's louder since they sound low when i transfer the mp3 ringtones to my phone through data cable, but i cannot seem to figure this thing out at all. does someone have a tutorial on how to make the ringtones louder for a lg vx 8300? i have searched here but i couldnt find anything that was in full detail. thanks in advance.

king them for the 8300 is the same as making them for any other BREW OS verizon LG phone

3200,3300, 4500, 5200,5300,8100,9800,8500 etc....

the audio mp3 format is the same for all them

I use audacity. I've timed it for the phone ringing with a stopwatch. The phone rings for 22 seconds. So I make a 22 second ringtone and transfer it to my phone via bitpim. I go into audacity and raise the "Gain" to +6db and the ringtone sounds fine - nice and loud too. Works well with the announce feature I have the phone do just before it rings.
