Hello everyone,

Can i use the RIM BlackBerry 7130e from Bell Mobility on any CDMA wireless service provider?

Take care.

The device is locked to Bell. It may be possible to unlock, but other carriers may not accept foreign ESN/MEID's on their network.

I don't think any CDMA carriers allow foreign devices on their networks anymore? US or CDN

I'm going to sell the RIM BlackBerry 7130e and i'd like to know if it's safe to provide the ESN to a potential buyer?

Can't see why not, the buyer is probably checking to see if the device has been marked lost/stolen.

Correct.

The potential buyer wants to verify if the RIM BlackBerry 7130e can be activated.

I wouldn't buy a used CDMA device without checking the status of the ESN...

Regardless--you're reselling the device, correct? Even if it hasn't been used, it could be stolen. Verifying the ESN is the only protection a buyer has with CDMA devices when buying from a third party....

I apoligize for the double post.

Correct.

The reason i mentioned the RIM BlackBerry 7130e was brand new was because if the RIM BlackBerry 7130e was used then the potential buyer would verify that the ESN isn't clean.

ESN and IMEI can be changed but this is illegal.
