Today my toch screen died on me. I was cursed from the day I said my worked fine on another tred.

I walked into the store and the rep. asked me what the problem was tested the phone and then just went in back and took another new one for me. I purchase the phone online so is this normal or was the guy just helping me out saving the time to send it back?

Also I was under the impression and from other post that cingular only gives you a refurbised phone to replace a damage one. This one was brand new.

If you're within your 30-day trial period, you get a new phone. AFTER that, you get a refurb...

they didn't offer me insurance on my phone... Do you have insurance.

No their is no insurance on 8125 model. You have to go threw either the 30 day warranty and once outside that you need to put it under your A: Home owners insurance or B. go threw a 3rd party that dose it. I am looking at some companys now

I was within the 30-day period and they gave me a brand new phone, no problem. I kinda messed up the bottom of the screen (Didnt tell them that though :-D).

The new Cingular insurance policy states that if you have insurance on your account when you buy the phone (ie, insuring a previous model) then they will honor 1 claim (as which happened to me) and then cancel your insurance and still only bill you $50.

If you have a friend that works at a store or in custoemr care, have them add the feature and you're set for one claim.

I checked into that. Their is no insurance policy avaible for the Cingular 8125 that cingular provideds. I just today signed up for insurance threw safeware.com.

I just got my insuranced 8125 in the mail the other day. They told me that they don't cover the device normally, however I had insurance on my account and they would honor it.
