Hi all,

I live in Asia and I just purchased a V3c. It appears it's a Chinese phone and I think the brand is called Uni. The thing is, I can't find the Bluetooth menu. I talked to some guy that the chinese version of v3c doesn't have Bluetooth installed. I searched on Google but didn't find anything useful about this chinese version of V3c. Does anyone know about this?

Another thing is, since it's the (supposedly) same v3c, can I update the firmware to Verizon's firmware?

Thanks for your help.

Not sure if it has bluetooth support in the firmware or not.. but I would think it would at least have headset support...

If it uses the "standard" Motorola User Interface (UI)... then its under MENU -> Settings -> Connection -> Bluetooth Link

As for flashing with the verizon firmware.. while it MIGHT be possible.. it MIGHT also mess up or FRY your phone..

If successful, your phone will have the Verizon UI and all its limits... it will also have the settings for Verizon's data services, etc... so that will probably be an issue for you on your wireless carrier, preventing many of the phone's features from working...

Are you sure it is a Motorola phone, and not a copy?

Mark_Venture: The UI is different than the standard Motorola UI, and it's also different than Verizon's UI. This is the first time I've seen something like this. The menu only has these options: Sound, Display, Schedule, Multimedia, Voice Wizard, Security, Setting (but there's no Connection option), Toolkit and Phonebook. The messages option only available by pressing the right nav from the main screen.

Humpa:I'm pretty sure it's a motorola phone. It comes in a Motorola box, it has it's IMEI number, and it also comes with Motorola Mobile Phone Tools. The problem is that manuals are all in Chinese

If it has an IMEI number its NOT CDMA... so do NOT FLASH with Verizon or Alltel firmware!!

CDMA phones have an ESN number, or more recently an MEID.
GSM Phones have IMEI numbers!

Does it use a SIM card or "Smart Card" ?? If so, its GSM...

Check the sticker on the inside of the phone (battery compartment)... does it have an ESN or IMEI Number? (Maybe its in wrong box)??
