How do you find the ESN or DEX number on the V710. My 'new" phone does not have that sticker on the back.

It doesn't have the sticker under the battery?
How about menu>phone info>ESN? Don't know if that is on the 710 but it is on the 815 and 816

The sticker is missing so that I like to know what the 11 digits number required for online ESN change. The other information is not long enough!! I thought there is some entering like the get to the secret menu would show it or something like that.

Do you mean the other number in the phone? I believe that is hex # The online esn changer says ESN in hexadecimal, or HEX, is represented by 8 characters that are numbers and letters, e.g. E04624B3.
Did you try that in the esn changer?

Yes, but an error message saying I need the 11 digits #. Oh well, a call to cs did change my phone but I'd like to do it online if possible in the future. However, I am sticking with this phone now, because I have no problem using online ESN to change to the Hollywood. Now I put the Hollywood in the backup status. After my trip, I'd switch it back. Going to the desert to see the canyons for a week or so.

Theoretically the hex number should correspond to the dec number but when i put my hex number and converted it to a dec it was not my dec esn.
When did I start speaking another language?

hahaha, sounds good tho. Anyway, how did you convert the Hex to Dex or whatever?

You can find an online converter by googling convert hex to dex or if you are running windows, launch the calculater. Under view select scientific. That expands the calculater and you can enter a number and change it to hex, dex, or bin just by clickin the button for which ever you want.

I've run into a similar problem, I was given an old phone that has an partially unreadable label. The phone will display its ESN as HEX but it when converted to DEC its only 9 digits and nowhere close to the part of the label that I can read. Is there another trick to converting the HEX code? My provider (Cricket) will only accept the DEC code.
