P800 Reception / Signal Quality?

Hi All,

As we all know, the T68i's major flaw is that it basically lacks an antenna - well the antenna is very weak.

Does the P800 have the same problem?

How does the reception compare to the Nokia 6590? Nokia 6310i?

Thanks!

i dont have a nokia, so I can't compare with it. but compare to my v60g, at my home, my v60g has 4-5 bars and the p800 will have 3.5-4.5 bars, and STABLE. Just a little worst than v60g. I say it is a BIG improvement from t68 and you should know that it is ONLY the first firmware (exclude the pre-commercial firmware). I think they will still improving it along the future firmware. but i am very satisfy now. I tend to lose the trust for SE cuz I have couple of *****ty t68 that's why I totally turned to motorola. but after p800, SE gain back my 100% trust! even I got the import one for a very high price, I am NOT regret getting it. and now, more and more softwares are developing and the opera is out for FREE! even better. when the states release (or canada release will be better), I think I will get a second unit.

My signal quality on Tmobile in NYC is excellent. It is comparable to that of my previous phone, the T720i. This phone bears no resemblance to the shameful T68 RF quality.

I have only experienced one dropped call, and that is in a dead zone on Washington Square North, just as you turn off of 5th Avenue - but I lost calls in that spot on every phone I've used with Tmobile (T720i, T68, Nokia 8890, T28w). Reception in my office (midtown west, around 50th Street, 30th Floor) is 5 bars, as good as the T720i, and a far cry from the 2-3 bars I got on the T68.
