Battery Problem on LG VX8500

I recently got the LG VX8500 and everything seems to be fine. Yesterday, I bought the 512MB Kingston MicroSD and placed several pictures (in "my_pix" folder) and songs (in "my_music" folder) in the card. I used one of the picture in the the MicroSD card as the wallpaper for the phone. I charged the phone overnight with the MicroSD in the phone slot.

First symtom: This morning, I noticed that I normally receive the "Charge Complete" message after a few hours but it showed that the phone still charging (more than 9 hours of charging ). I removed the charger and plugged it back in and immediately the message "Charge Complete" display. This is the first time that I have seen this.

Second symtom: after 30 minutes on the phone with co-worker and on the stand-by mode for the rest of the day. In the afternoon, I turned the ringer off befor the Church Mass. After the Mass, in the process of turn the ringer back on, I found my phone turned itself off due to exhausted battery.

Does anybody experience the same problem as me? I suspected that because I am actively using the picture in the MicroSD as the wallpaper and the MicroSD need power to access this picture. Is this true? Is the MicroSD need drawn that much power from the battery? Any phone guru in here that can answer this question. Please spare my ignorance on this topic.

Is this Battery problem also relate to the EVDO???? If it is, why did not I experience it earlier ( before I added the MicroSD).

First Symptom: I did experience this issue with the phone not indicating "Charge Complete" once the phone has been on the charger over night. For me, the only way I know that the phone is done charging is when the batter indicator is full AND blinking....(that's just an assumption).

Second Symptom: I haven't experienced this problem....could be because you have EVDO "On" therefore your battery life would drain much faster than it normally would. Try disabling it and you should be good to go.

I have experienced BOTH symptoms...

As for the charging completed message not showing... it has happened only a couple of times... But usually works correctly...

As for the powering down... etc... I had a bad battery on mine.. took it to the store.. they tested the battery (not sure with what or how)... said it failed and gave me a new battery...

I'm still breaking this battery in.. so we'll see if it helps battery life...
