hi,
Im not asking about how to unlock just more of when an unlock is available for the vodafone 705sh, will the same code work for the rebranded softbank 705sh ? just curious cuz i saw some softbank ones on ebay that were locked and the white looks cool.

anybody know?

no it's not the same unlock code!

Vodafone/Softbank doesn't work like UK vodafone phones..
They dont run by code lock (actually type in code to unlock)
Actually, they use some kind of software lock or even hardware lock to keep the phone block from using other sim's...keeping themselves special...

hope this helps

im just hoping that if i get the 705sh (either one) there will be an unlock eventurally

Vodafone/Softbank has all unlock codes available to themself as a corporation.
They do not give these out however.
If theoretically, we could call them and get the code for the Vodafone 705SH, and the Softbank 705SH; they would be BOTH coming from the same tool.
There is no difference in the algorythm method used in these phones.
If you unlock a Vodafone 705SH, you CAN and will unlock a Softbank 705SH.

Vodafone/Softbank CAN unlock the phones using a tool. Vodafone/Softbank will NOT unlock these phones using that tool though.

The method preventing these from being software unlocked is as I was educated, a software algorythm preventing the bootloader from being accessed. Much like encryption. I am not 100% sure on this, but this is what I was taught.

So you guys are saying there is differences between the 705SH by Vodafone, and the 705SH by Softbank? If so please state these differences rather then they have different brand names, and slight different firmware (to make room for new branding).

I assume the answer the OP was looking for was...
"Yes, if you unlock a 705SH, you can unlock both versions"

the codes are unknown because the security protecting these codes has never been cracked.

there is a way to input a code, but as the codes have never been released or discovered, there is no way to know what they would be.

the sharp phones that have been unlocked have not been unlocked by cracking the security, but by simply overwriting it. So the unlock for the 903 is not so much of an unlock but more of a flash of a firmware that supports an unlock.
