Google for mobile - different content than the usual Google?

I was googling for "Comair crash" today on my Sony Ericsson K790a, and only came up with articles on a previous crash. (Scary, as I've taken Comair a few times.) However, if I google via my computer, I get a few news articles about today's crash, in the news section. Is the content for mobile google access truly different, or does the search just ignore news articles?

If I search on my phone, the top group of news articles are completely missing. How do I tell my phone to include those google news articles?
