i have failed the all to useful personality test but the Store Man. wants to hire me bad...
can he escalate and get an override?

the test wasn't my fault as the interenet died right in the middle and when i tried to redo it, it said they would use my previous answers...

what can i do?

If the store manager wants to, and the RM says it's okay, then yes. They can still hire you. I've seen it happen before. The store manager can also get you out of newhire training ( like me ) if they think you know your stuff already. Hope this helps.

ok ok i simmered down and now i need to find out a way to contact hr because they owe me an explination as to why they keep saying i completed and failed this assesment when i never did.
anyone help with an HR number in Georgia?

if the manager wanted you so badly he/she should be doing the leg work. i really doubt HR is going to deal with you, they are hard enough to deal with as an employee.

i guess the part that aggravates me is the fact it says to contact cingular if there is a problem.
it is funny that i am good enough to get a management slot but not a sales spot... irony

I have to agree with Wiggum. If the manager really wanted you, they can just bypass HR. All the manager needs to tell HR is that he wants you to work in his store. Hell, I've seen managers bypass the DRUG SCREENING ( with disastrous results in store ) to hire employees. If you really want the job try asking that manager for the HR number so you can call. Or, try and contact a recruiter since a recruiter should also have leeway. Good luck. And if you're like me ( pray that you aren't ) 6th times a charm.

lol be nice but persistent when talking to the manager okay? ah. Occasionally when you email your resume online a recruiter will call you. What I did to get hired was apply, then I went to my local corporate headquarters and interviewed the the RM, then ( because of different problems ) went to apply again, talked to a recruiter, got recommended to a local store who then was told by the RM that I'm good and it got all taken care of.

I don't work in the wireless industry, but i like to lurk here sometimes, so please forgive me in advance...

But I had no idea that you actually have to pass a PISS TEST to sell cell phones? LMAO!

Ahh, knew someone would say something about that.
So here it is.

This is why ALL reps should be drug screened:

This is a story about a female rep in another location. She comes into work coming off a night of doing drugs and has trouble putting on her makeup so she looks like she just made out with a clown every other morning. Whenever a customer goes to her for assistance, the customer has to repeat themselves constantly and deal with various phrases like, "What?" "Huh?" "No way, shut up. That sucks." She also forgets to either charge people or charges people and doesn't do what she's supposed to. She also would do extremely stupid things like taking regular customers into the back where it's employee's only and let them go into the phone room. Yea. And that's just the start of it. Anyway. You don't want to a.) be helped by someone like that. b.) Work with someone like that c. ) Deal with that person in general.

I don't get how people keep stalking Corp stores for employment. They don't want to hire you Move on. There seems to be 1-2 of these threads a week. Its like the cheerleader, she doesn't want you around becuase you're in band, she wants the football player. got over it and bang the other band chicks.

corp life isnt worth these days unless you're management. By management, i mean ARSM or higher.

it was fun, but its lost its coolness. its gotten very anti everyone but the bottom line. Its something shot down from the big blue with the big A and T's

3 interviews this week all for rsm spots, all 2nd interviews so meh!

actually i was banging the goth girls in highschool heck of a lot funner

that's great to hear tkdlove. I just wanted to add that the fact that they won't land you a job for that personality test is pure BS. Case in point: Me. I met with the manager of my store after a recommendation from the DM and never even filled out the personality quiz. So Good Luck. Have fun, and welcome aboard.
